The Latin name is: Artemisia annua. The English name is Common Wormwood or Absinth. It is a strong and pleasant-smelling annual plant with bright green fine leaves and inconspicuous small greenish yellow flowers. The tincture is from fresh plants grown organically in the Netherlands. The tea comes from small-scale biologically dynamic herb growing in (sunny) Crete. The Artemisia tea has been carefully dried and cut.
The Teaselshop doesn't sell Artemisia annua as a nutrient, food supplement or herbal preparation. Artemisia annua is a NOVEL FOOD. This means that in the EU it's no longer allowed to sell Artemisia annua as a nutrient, food supplement or herbal preparation unless it's approved by the EU. Artemisia annua is pending for such approval.
At het moment it's permitted to sell Artemisia annua as an aroma or as an external 'tick away' fragrance. For these purposes we offer you the Artemisia annua.
